Our Mission & Purpose
The purpose of Calvary Community Church is to glorify God in the name of Jesus Christ. Believing that this church has been called of God, it is our responsibility, as Christ said in Matthew 28:19, “go and make disciples of all people,” and to create an atmosphere of unconditional love and grace where spiritual, emotional, and relationtional healing can take place. We will accomplish this through: prayer, focusing our worship, preaching, teaching, fellowship, and outreach toward reconciling souls to God through Christ, and equipping Christians to function as God’s agents in the world.
Statement of Faith
We believe:
- That the Bible is the inspired, only infallible authoritative Word of God
- That there is one God consisting of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and eternal
- In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His incarnation, earthly ministry, death on the cross, burial, and bodily resurrection
- In the blessed hope of the personal, future, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to receive unto Himself His blood bought church to be with Him forever
- That the only means by which people are cleansed from sin is by repentance and faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for remission of sin; and that sanctification and glorification are internal parts of God’s plan of redemption
- In the regeneration by the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life
- In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of the life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation
