Elder Audwin A. Thomas

Elder Audwin A. Thomas is a preacher of the Gospel who was born in Louisiana, grew up in Oakland and currently resides in Vallejo, California.

Elder T, as he is affectionately known, gave his life to Christ at the age of 11 when he accepted Christ at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, California under the late Reverend Metters.

After graduating from the University of California, at Davis with a degree in Physical Education, he began a sales career with the Procter and Gamble Distributing company where he worked for 30 years before retiring.

In 1989 he rededicated his life to Christ and placed his membership at Christ Temple Church of Christ Holiness USA where he grew in Christ and exercised his gifts by serving in the youth ministry and teaching Sunday School. He later moved to Calvary Community Church where he accepted his call to preach the Gospel under the mentoring of Pastor Hanson Rogers. At Calvary, Elder T has served as the Youth Minister, facilitated youth retreats, vacation bible schools, and taught youth adult bible studies.

It was in 2003 that he was ordained an Elder in God’s church and trained in expository and exegetical preaching, biblical interpretation, and made significant contributions to various ministries.

Elder T has been married for over 40 years to his college sweetheart Maxine, who is a retired real estate agent. They were blessed with one daughter, Jasmine.

Currently Elder T teaches bible study, growth groups and works diligently with his Pastor in leading, teaching, preaching, and equipping the saints of God at Calvary Community Church for works of service. His favorite scripture is 2 Timothy 4:7. “Fight a good fight, finish the race and keep the faith!”
