Pastor Hanson Rogers
Pastor Rogers is the founding pastor of Calvary Community Church. His vision and passion are in preaching, teaching and leading with the objective of bringing people into relationship with Jesus Christ. His focus is on equipping leaders and all of God’s people to grow in faith and function as effective Christians. He conducts ministers training, leadership development, Bible studies, and many other forms of Christian education and programming. He promotes expository preaching that ensures sound doctrine. A major emphasis of the church is the discipleship program which Pastor Rogers and the church leadership established in consultation with Disciple-Path International Ministries.
Pastor Rogers holds BA and MA degrees in Biblical Studies and Christian Education from Trinity Bible College and Theological Seminary, where he is a candidate for a PhD in Apologetics and Philosophy. He is certified in Christian Apologetics by Biola University and has matriculated at San Jose Bible College (currently William Jessup University) and Patten Bible College. He has served as a conference speaker, led seminars, and taught Christian education in a variety of venues including foreign missions in South Africa. He has been a lecturer at Vallejo Bible College and is the current President of North Bay Ministers Union.
Pastor Rogers also had a secular career in the health care industry, with a specialty in pharmaceutical operations. He has been married to his wife Kathryn for over 40 years. They have a daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
